Meat In A Box Beef & Chicken Skewers



Meat In A Box is an aptly named Middle Eastern kabab place located off of Lee Highway in Falls Church. This tiny restaurant/carry-out features a menu of combo boxes with kabab style beef & chicken and sides. I went down and grabbed some meat in a box at Meat in a Box for lunch. Here's whats cookin'.

The classic box gives you a beef or chicken kabab wrapped in bread with tomatoes, onions, parsley, and sumac with a side of french fries all for $6.99. However, from there you have many options of adding kababs, getting veggie versions, or doing what I did and getting a combo platter over rice.

The platter is called a rice dish on the menu, and you have the following options:
  • 2 Lamb ($12)
  • 2 Salmon ($11)
  • 2 Shish-Kebab ($11)
  • 2 Chicken ($10)
  • 2 Beef ($9)
  • 1 Chicken, 1 Beef ($10)
  • Veggie ($8)

The box (combo box pictured below) comes with your seasoned meat over rice with a very very small salad, a big round piece of bread, and a yogurt sauce and a green herb sauce. The Coke was extra.




















The food was good and the employee in the store was very nice. It did take a while for the food to get cooked, so I would recommend calling ahead for pickup.
