Mad Fox Brewing Sandy Eggo West Coast IPA

This recently tapped Mad Fox beer inspired by a trip to San Diego (get it...Sandy Eggo) is a really hoppy west coast style IPA. The Sandy Eggo recently took home the first place trophy from the Mad Fox Kill The Keg contest that featured brews from Lost Rhino, Devil's Backbone, Port City, and DC Brau. (Read all about it here). Here's where to get it, what it costs, and everything you need to know about this local brew.

Brewer's Description: Brewed with English pale and crystal malts, kettle hop additions of the American varietals Simcoe, Columbus, Centennial and Amarillo from the Pacific Northwest are blended, then added four separate times.  Two dry hop additions of the same hops are added post fermentation to brighten the hop flavor and aroma. Sharp piney hop flavors jump out in the aroma, followed by silky caramel and citrus peel. Hop flavors reminiscent of rosemary, grapefruit peel meld with caramel malt backbone. Makes for a truly euphoric West Coast style hop experience, hence the name. (Via Mad Fox)

This beer takes hops to the max. I really like hoppy IPAs so this hits the spot. The typical IPA's at Mad Fox are less hoppy and more sweet or citrusy, so this is a good addition if you aren't into those. I think it is the best IPA they have.

Remember this beer is a limited edition, so it could be gone at any moment. Drink up.
